Marin Lukanović, a film studies specialist, director, video maker and producer from Rijeka, has been working with young creative people on their informal and formal education for the past twenty years. He is one of the founders of Rijeka-based Filmaktiv where he served as a long-time director, and he is also one of the people behind Molekula, an association of civil society organizations. Marin Lukanović serves as a member of several work-groups and actively participates in the creation of local and national cultural policies. Adjunct lecturer at the Arts Studies Department at the University of Rijeka, he also collaborated with institutional and non-institutional theatres in Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia (Ulysses Theatre, Croatian National Theatre “Ivan pl. Zajc” in Rijeka, Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, Croatian National Theatre in Osijek, Marin Držić Theatre, Slovenian National Theatre in Maribor, Madlenianum Zemun, Serbian National Theatre in Novi Sad, Trafik Rijeka, etc.). He collaborated on or authored feature films and documentaries in Italy and Croatia, while in 2005, his short film Standardna priča won the Pula Film Festival Award. He produced a number of documentaries and one animated film. He graduated in film studies from the University of Bologna.
