Agata Juniku
Agata Juniku is a research and teaching assistant at the Department of Dramaturgy at Zagreb’s Academy of Dramatic Art. Her professional engagement with theatre and dance began in 1988 at Radio 101 where she worked until 1998. For several years, she served at the editorial board of Frakcija magazine as well as Zarez – a biweekly for cultural and social affairs. From 2002 to 2013 she was editor in chief of a weekly program dedicated to theatre, at Croatian Radio 3. From 1999 to 2003 she participated in the organization of Eurokaz – the International Festival of New Theatre and Dance Week Festival and occasionally collaborated on other projects organized by the independent cultural scene. As a co-founder of Nemeza, she advocates non-profit media sector and the promotion of documentary radio-plays and other artistic radio forms. She graduated in Philosophy and Comparative literature from Zagreb’s Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (2002), where she defended her PhD Dissertation in Philosophy (2014). From 2003 to 2005 she also completed postgraduate studies (DEA - diplôme d’études approfondies) in philosophy at Universite Paris 8 – Vincennes-Saint-Denis.
