Emina Višnić
Emina Višnić has a rich experience in non-profit cultural management, networking on local, national and international level as well as cultural advocacy and capacity building in the non-profit sector. She served as the director of Pogon – Zagreb’s Center for Independent Culture and the Youth, a hybrid cultural institution based on a new model of public-civil partnership that functions as an open local center for the development of the independent contemporary arts and culture as well as the involvement of the young into cultural and social life. She serves as vice-president of the Executive Committee of Culture Action Europe – a European advocacy network based in Brussels. Recently, she was Head of Programme at Rijeka 2020 - European Capital of Culture. She is fellow at the Summer International Fellowship Program at DeVos Institute of Arts Management at the Kennedy Center (Washington, DC). Occasionally, she works as a trainer and talks/writes about cultural policy issues. She graduated in Croatian Language and Literature and Comparative Literature from Zagreb’s Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
