Ivica Petrinić

Ivica Petrinić was a research assistant at Department of Economics and Tourism “Dr. Mijo Mirković” at Juraj Dobrila University of Pula. He is one of investigators in Sustainable Tourism in Croatia: Designing an Action Plan for Istrian Tourism’s Sustainability, a research project funded by the Croatian Ministry of Science, Education and Sports. For over a decade, he has participated in the work of Zelena Istra, a regional environmental organization. As an adviser he collaborated with the Council for Informatization of the City of Pula and Istria’s Council for Civil Society’s Development, and since 2010 he has participated in the work of the international association Major Cities of Europe IT Users Group. The area of his scholarly and professional interest lies within social implication of information and communication technologies, economic sociology, sociology of work and organizational sociology, and urban sociology. He graduated in sociology from Zagreb’s Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences where he is currently a doctoral candidate.
