IN SITU Releases Educational Video Series for Cultural Practitioners

A new series of educational videos has been released to support capacity building for cultural and creative sectors in non-urban areas.

Within the framework of the Horizon Europe project "IN SITU – Place-based Innovation of Cultural and Creative Industries in Non-urban Areas", a new series of four educational videos has been released to address key topics for the development of cultural and creative sectors in small, peripheral, rural, and non-urban areas. Produced by the Bulgarian project partner NATFIZ – National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts, the videos draw on four years of research, training, mentoring, and collaboration carried out across six European regions.

The series is intended for cultural practitioners, organisations, intermediaries, educators, and other stakeholders working beyond major urban centres. Through practical examples and expert guidance, the videos explore the challenges and opportunities for sustainable cultural initiatives.

The video series includes:

The complete video series is available on the IN SITU YouTube channel.

The videos are accompanied by the report "Four Short Videos on Topics of Capacity Building for CCIs in Non-urban Areas", which provides an overview of the conceptual framework, educational objectives, target groups, and production methodology. This publication offers additional guidance for educators, cultural organisations, and policymakers interested in strengthening cultural sectors outside major urban centres. Together, these resources represent an important educational legacy of the IN SITU project.

Further information regarding the project can be found on the IN SITU website.
